BEFORE WE DIVE IN
Si aún no has metido el inglés en tu horario, o quieres apuntarte a un grupo, responde a este email.
Es el mejor momento para empezar.
If you write emails in English, you’ve probably spent far too much time thinking about the last two words.
Kind regards,
Best regards,
Warm regards,
Sincerely,
Yours faithfully,
Thanks,
Best wishes,
There are a lot of options.
But most of the time, you can make your life much easier.
Just write:
Best,
That’s it.
It’s professional without being overly formal.
Friendly without being too personal.
And it works in almost every normal business situation.
Best regards is absolutely fine too. But it’s slightly more formal and, in many situations, you simply don’t need the extra word.
Kind regards is also common, particularly in British English, but again, it can feel a little more formal.
Thanks works well when you’re actually thanking someone or asking them to do something.
And Sincerely?
Perfectly correct. But in most everyday professional emails, it sounds much more formal than you need.
So next time you get to the bottom of an email and start wondering which sign-off sounds right…
Don’t overthink it.
Best is best.

No need to overthink it
This week’s three tips:
SOMETHING TO AVOID 🫣
🤦🏻♀️ “A greeting”
This is a classic direct translation from Spanish:
Un saludo → A greeting
But it doesn’t work as an email sign-off in English.
A greeting is what you say or write when you meet or welcome someone:
“Hello” is a common greeting.
It’s not normally what you write at the end of an email.
✅ “Best”
As mentioned, at the end of an email - keep it simple.
Thanks for reading!
Best,
Jack
SOMETHING TO SOUND CONFIDENT 🧐
👔 Business expressions
“To wrap things up”
To finish or bring something to a conclusion.
You can use it for meetings, conversations, projects — and even your working day.
We’ve covered everything, so let’s wrap things up.
