š® What will be?
#020
Afternoon everyone,
Something simple but important for you today.
First, translate the following:
HabrƔ una oferta especial en la tienda maƱana y estarƔn anunciƔndola en las redes sociales.
The reason Iām asking you is because over the past week Iāve noticed some people confusing āthere will beā and āthey will beā.
We can translate the sentence as:
There will be a special offer in the shop tomorrow and they will be announcing it on social media.
Did you get it right?
HabrĆ” = There will be
EstarƔn = They will be
Not complicated, but easy to make a mistake as only a couple of letters are different.
English is simple, but not easy.
Until next week!
āthey will beā or āthere will beā, that is the question
This weekās 3 tips:
SOMETHING TO AVOID š«£
š¤¦š»āāļø āYou need to take a decisionā
Sometimes in British English you will hear ātake a decisionā.
This government took the decision to invest in renewable energy
So itās not really a mistake, but better to say:
ā āYou need to make a decisionā
āMaking a decisionā is more common.
When do you need me to make a decision by?
We need you to make a decision by the end of the week
SOMETHING TO SOUND CONFIDENT š§
š Business jargon explained
āLow hanging fruitā
Easy tasks and goals that can done quickly to achieve success or that makes progress toward an objective.
We are a young company and I believe that there is still lots of low hanging fruit for us to pick
