SOMETHING TO AVOID 🫣

🤦🏻‍♀️ “What do you want to say?”

¿Qué quieres decir?

“What do you mean?”

Be sure to translate ¿qué quieres decir? as “what do you mean?”

What do you mean you can’t come?

What do you mean you don’t like it?

A country that offers foreign businesses and individuals minimal or no tax liability for their bank deposits in a politically and economically stable environment.

SOMETHING DIFFICULT 👀

📰 What does the headline mean?

Note that there are better newspapers to read when in the UK

  • Fiery - someone passionate and intense (like fire)

  • Comes out swinging: An idiom meaning to begin an activity or confrontation with immediate effort or aggression (like a boxer)

  • Lands big blows: A phrase meaning to deliver impactful hits, either literally in physical combat or, in this case metaphorically in arguments

  • Plotting: Secretly planning

  • Hammers: Delivers repeated and forceful blows (like with a hammer)
