❝I always win❞
#085
“I don’t usually win things, I always win things in my second year.”
This is was what a football manager said after his team lost a match against their arch-rivals Arsenal, in September.
With only one victory in four games he was under pressure.
As the season progressed he was teased constantly about what he had said.
“What are you going to win? The team is terrible.” Everyone said.
But last Wednesday, Ange Postecoglou lifted the Europa League trophy.
Spurs beat Manchester United 1–0 in the final.
The first trophy in 17 years.
He talked the talk, and walked the walk.
And the quote will be remembered by football lovers forever.

Wining the Europa League was estimated to be worth 100 million euro for the winner
This week’s three tips:
SOMETHING TO AVOID 🫣
🤦🏻♀️ “Always I win”
Don’t start sentences with always!
✅ “I always win”
Remember to place always after the subject.
It’s true, he always wins in his second year
SOMETHING TO SOUND CONFIDENT 🧐
👔 Business expressions
“He backed it up”
He proved his words were true by delivering results. This expression is used when someone makes a bold claim—and then supports it with real performance, action, or success
Ange said, “I always win.” Most people talk. He backed it up.
