🄊 The gloves are off

#087

Surprise, surprise.

The bromance between Donald Trump and Elon Musk is over.

Who could’ve seen that coming?

All that power and ego couldn’t get along.

They fell out over the ā€œOne Big Beautiful Bill.ā€

Yes, it’s really called that. Pinch yourself.

Musk slammed it as a ā€œdisgusting abomination.ā€

Trump fired back, warning there would be ā€œserious consequencesā€ if Musk supported anyone who opposed it.

When a situation escalates, from polite and professional to openly aggressive and personal, we say the gloves are off.

It comes from boxing where the gloves are padded to protect the opponent.

But if the gloves come off, it’s no longer a fair fight.

It’s a brawl.

There’s no pretending to be nice anymore.

They’re ready to fight dirty, speak harshly, or do whatever it takes to win.

Pass me the popcorn.

Just another day in MAGA America

SOMETHING TO AVOID 🫣

šŸ¤¦šŸ»ā€ā™€ļø ā€œThey had a discussionā€

Discussions are calm and reasonable:

We had an interesting discussion about the local schools

āœ… ā€œThey had an argumentā€

If emotions exploded then you need to say argument or falling-out.

They had a bit of a falling-out about who they should invite to the wedding

SOMETHING TO SOUND CONFIDENT šŸ§

šŸ‘” Business expressions

ā€œStir the potā€

(Echar mƔs leƱa al fuego)

When someone provokes conflict or creates drama — often just to get a reaction, without offering any real solution
