BEFORE WE DIVE IN
New name
We are changing from The Crystal Clear English Newsletter to Crystal Clear English Weekly.
By the way, we have a new look too 👇
So we have reached 100 weeks.
I have written this for one-hundred weeks straight.
To celebrate, we have a new library where you can find every single edition.
Please check it out, reply to this email and give us your opinion.
If you like it please bookmark it. Or, better yet - get our app.
The reason we changed our look is because we are doubling down.
Showing our commitment, to you.
Because next week you won't just receive one email.
Each Wednesday you will receive an extra one.
Something to challenge you.
Something to keep you sharp.
Something to do constantly.
Because, in anything, consistency is king.
So here’s to another 100 weeks, together.
See you on Wednesday.

Don’t forget to celebrate the wins along the way
This week’s three tips:
SOMETHING TO AVOID 🫣
🤦🏻♀️ “Another emails”
Another means one more. So it can never be followed by a plural.
✅ “Another email”
So it must be followed by a singular noun.
Do you have another pen?
There is another seat available.
SOMETHING TO SOUND CONFIDENT 🧐
👔 Business expressions
“Double down on”
To increase your effort, commitment, or resources toward something, especially after facing resistance, setbacks, or risk.
It comes from blackjack (the card game), where “doubling down” means doubling your bet in exchange for committing to play just one more card. In everyday English, it’s become a metaphor for intensifying your commitment.
After the first campaign underperformed, the team decided to double down on social media advertising.
