Cool, right?

Until next week 👋

Although there are moments when reading slowly is more appropriate

This week’s three tips:

SOMETHING TO AVOID 🫣

🤦🏻‍♀️ “I read it in diagonal”

This doesn’t translate into English I'm afraid.

Although leer por encima perhaps works better, as to look over.

You also have ojear or echar un vistazo as take a look or to glance at something.

Did you look over the documents?

Yea, I took a look at them

I need to glance at the figures again before the meeting

“I skimmed through it”

If you want to sound like a pro say to skim through something.

To skim means to touch lightly. Perhaps rozar in Spanish. (You might hear to skim stones, which is tirar piedras haciendo patitos).

The newsletter is too good to skim over it. I like to take my time to read it thoroughly

SOMETHING TO SOUND CONFIDENT 🧐

👔 Business expressions

“To be on the same page”

To share the same understanding, expectations, or interpretation of a situation, plan, or decision.

Think alignment, not agreement.

I just want to check that we’re on the same page regarding the timeline

SOMETHING TO READ OR LISTEN TO 👀
