BEFORE WE DIVE IN
New video is up!
“I’m not very organised.”
These were the words of a student this week.
I found this hard to believe.
But it reminded me of a book I read a few years ago called Building a Second Brain.
The idea is that your brain is terrible at:
remembering everything
organising complex ideas
retrieving information when you need it
But it’s excellent at:
thinking
connecting ideas
making decisions
So instead of trying to remember everything, you:
offload it into a system
That system becomes your “second brain.”
It’s about creating an external system to store, organise, and use your knowledge.
Not just notes.
Not just ideas.
But a system that:
captures what matters
organises it intelligently
helps you produce better work faster
So that when you need that missing piece of the puzzle.
You’ll be able to find it easily.
To all those who feel as though they could be better organised.
I recommend the video at the bottom of the email about the PARA method.
Take a moment to build your second brain.
Your first brain will thank you.

Build a second brain so you can find that missing piece when you need it
This week’s three tips:
SOMETHING TO AVOID 🫣
🤦🏻♀️ “I have everything controlled”
This comes directly from Spanish: “Lo tengo todo controlado”
In English, “control” suggests:
power
authority
managing people or situations
Not organising files or systems.
I have everything under control
✅ “I’ve got everything organised”
When you say organised, you’re describing:
structure
categorisation
easy retrieval
That’s exactly what folders are for.
Everything is well structured
I keep everything organised
SOMETHING TO SOUND CONFIDENT 🧐
👔 Business expressions
“Keep track of something”
To monitor, organise, and stay updated on information over time.
Not just storing something…but knowing where it is and being able to use it when needed.
We need a system to keep track of client feedback.
