We have spent the last couple of weekends traveling.
Sat writing this in the airport, one can’t help but notice some of the changes that are visible when compared to the world of a few years ago.
Many, understandably, to do with hygiene:
QR codes instead of physical menus
contactless payments
masks and hand sanitiser
There are lifestyle changes too.
Looking around, I would argue that people wear more comfortable clothes than before. Fewer skinny jeans, loose-fit clothes and comfortable shoes.
Of course the new world has brought benefits, one of which being online classes from the comfort of your home or office.
Aware of our increased screen-time we break from doomscrolling on our phone only to pick it back up and check if we have reached our daily step goal.
The world moves on and we move with it.
I am however, enormously grateful to be able to travel at ease.
I do hope that this doesn’t change any time soon.

🤦🏻♀️ “After of COVID”
A Spanish speaker might translate “después de COVID”
✅ “After COVID”
In English there is no need to say “of”. Just remove it completely.
You would say after + noun.
Or with a verb, after + gerund.
The world is a different place after the pandemic
After catching COVID my sense of smell hasn’t been the same
SOMETHING TO SOUND CONFIDENT 🧐
👔 Business expressions
“Changing consumer habits”
The way customers’ behaviour, preferences, and buying decisions evolve over time.
Businesses that adapted quickly to changing consumer habits after COVID were far more likely to grow
